“Though the world is far emptier than it once was, there’s plenty to capture the interest of a young, intrepid mind on many daily adventures - so long as she’s brought back home safely before dark.”

My cats always think that we're playing with them, even when we're not. I was sitting on my bed drawing and one of them, Skippy, thought that I was teasing him with the moving pencil. I decided to take a picture of the face he was making and draw it. Drawn partly from observation of him sitting in front of me and partly from the photo.

This is a page from a work in progress comic of mine. I don't have much drawn yet and I have since reworked the basic story, but I plan on doing more with it soon. Hands drawn from direct observation of my own.

This is a commissioned piece of a friend's dog. It's drawn from a photograph.

Portrait of a questionably dressed online entertainer. Drawn from photo reference.

Inspired by childhood memories of my favorite holiday. Tree drawn from direct observation.

I was inspired by a weird image I saw online of a man in a cloak riding a floating snake. I decided to ground my snake and dress my character as more of a navigator and an adventurer. When I found myself trying to figure out what to put on his staff, I asked the question, "What would be practical for a navigator of any kind to use?" and my first thought was a wind vain.
